"I used my micrometer and dial bore gage to check cylinder bore.
I double-checked main and rod journals using my micrometer. I used pastigage to double check the main and rod bearing clearance. Discovered dirt between block and bearing, problem solved.
Just got my head gasket today. Would prefer to install oil filter before first start-up, but Will Langford wants a running engine on a test stand for show and tell. I'll double-check for cleanliness and decide whether to install modified original oil pump.
